Movers and Shakers and your Web Trends
September 10 2008, 8:06am
It’s nice to get sent a link to something new, and this morning was one of those times, so thanks Mr Kelly
Alexa has a great page showing the Movers and Shakers in the web world. It is very interesting to see what trends it is showing (for example, the Alaska Daily site).
My web trends have changed
I’ve seen a real shift over the past 9 months since running theappleofmyi. Less browsing of forums (cars, detailing, photos), and much more time spent focused on learning more about clients, client competitors, writing content, devouring feeds in Google Reader and learning about new Web Apps.
Even in the past 6 months, I’ve seen two HUGE changes, well, the ones that really stand out to me:
Web apps becoming more and more interesting, functional and useful] The new ways of marketing becoming more and more exiciting, and importantly, the results showing that, as well as clients starting to “get it” (not all I hasten to add!)
I’m a bif news Junkie, and it used to be BBC online only, but the Times Online site is getting more of my global news attention now. It is very good. Have you seen your web usage / trends change recently? I’m really interested to see if you have seen a shift this year - so please let us all know in the comments.
